This eBook shows the healing of sexuality issues and their cause--the belief in separation. David Hoffmeister and the Messengers of Peace visited China in the spring of 2012, sharing gatherings and retreats with big crowds of lively and spiritually hungry seekers in Shanghai, Hainan, and Beijing. During one of the retreats, Albert, the translator, was given the opportunity of a public one-on-one session with David around the deepest issues of his life.
You will hear Albert express, in a deeply touching way, how he came through a very difficult childhood containing a great deal of physical abuse and violence. He describes how he had to face deep guilt and shame and personal issues around sexuality and relationships, and how he finally came to lighter experiences and forgiveness. Following this profound session, Albert left an old, stagnant relationship and opened up his heart to a new and vibrant relationship. He continues to thrive in this new relationship, which is devoted to healing and to sharing in a deeply purposeful way.
This eBook is very healing for everyone who has ever had any relationship or sexual issues. It offers a genuine experience for anyone with an open heart--thanks to Albert's authentic expression, and David's gentle and helpful answers. David and Albert have collaborated for years, and have a profound connection. Albert has translated most of David's writings into Mandarin Chinese, and serves as one of the main translators during David's visits to China.
Enjoy this deeply touching and authentically healing transcript of forgiving a very difficult life-story.

Just to balance out the stars, I've read about halfway through the book, and it's easily worth three bucks. There are hundreds (probably many thousands) of great spiritual books. I've read many greatly helpful ones, and most of them are much longer than this. However, brevity can be helpful sometimes, too. With the right spiritual material (notably the sixteen-page Who Am I? by Ramana Maharshi, and also The Way of Liberation by Adyashanti), having the material stay short-but-sweet can allow it to be freer of miscellany. I've been having trouble with sexual shame and guilt, etc., and David Hoffmeister's short book has been really helpful with them so far, and has allowed for powerful personal experience. This being said after having had "years of practice" and reading many other books, of course. So I was looking for something "covering this category," and am relieved that the subject could be covered so powerfully here. Those who were drawn here may experience something helpful, too.For clarification of terms, from what I've read of this so far (I'm letting it sink in, but will probably read the rest over the next day or so), and from what I've read of A Course in Miracles and heard from David Hoffmeister's interview with Buddha at the Gas Pump, the other reviewer may have been saying "religious" where many people would say "spiritual." In the lexicon that I'm most familiar with, "religious" suggests following the tenets of a particular religion, with connotations of embracing various beliefs over personal experience. This material, on the other hand, would probably be considered "spiritual" by many people, in that this book isn't about devotion to a conceptual setup, but rather about direct personal experience and releasing one's burdens around sexuality. Which has been helpful for me, so far (and in just a few pages). Those who have some relative understanding probably generally understand what I'm talking about, whereas those "just beginning with spirituality" may benefit from something more "general and/or comprehensive," but in short, where conceptually studying religious works might be like reading about the benefits of nutrition, reading this would be the equivalent of eating some fruit. Words break down, of course. And semantics is something this material generally isn't concerned with. But I was surprised to read the other review, and after checking out the book itself, I understand where the other reviewer was coming from, but wanted to clear things up by saying there's no "specific religion or belief system" suggested.

Healing the Shame and Guilt around Sexuality edition by David Hoffmeister Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
If you are interested in reading an interview about a Course in Miracles then this might be the book for you. I was looking for some more practical work than this book (if you can call it that) has to offer.
Clear, simple and concise , objective, ... always spreading truth in all sentences, affirmations, arguments ... Guiding us to liberation, freedom, forgiveness... Gratitude)
This has been very helpful, especially very type of guilt, more than we can even begin to get fully. Most helpful on relationships.
This is an awesome little book. David really knows how to communicate difficult situations gently. You will like it.
